The goal is simple; get to the door at the end of the level to win, but it's not as easy as it may seem. Holes can show up out of nowhere, spikes can move unexpectedly and ceilings can fall down on you as you make your way through the many different levels. One wrong step and it's game over.

In this Sunday Morning Showdown, we’re comparing the 36mm Rolex Explorer (Daan’s ref. 114270 or the current ref. 124270) to the recently introduced 38mm Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with a black dial (ref. 220.10.38.20.01.004).Let's put both of these Swiss luxury watches up on the board and compare them side by side. We'll compare feature by feature with both watches, the Omega Aqua Terra vs Rolex Explorer. We'll start with the biggest differences and then work towards similar features.
The Aqua Terra features an impressive COSC certified chronometers with -4 +6 accuracy but just doesn’t compare to the -2/+2 seconds accuracy of the Explorer. This just means that the Rolex chronometer is about 2 or 3 times more accurate than Omega’s offering. With the black lacquer dial, especially on the 41mm version of the Aqua Terra, the Omega is now even more of a head to head competitor against the Rolex Oyster Perpetual and Datejust. So how do the two brands compare?
I chose the Aqua Terra last year after considering a few alternatives, including the Explorer. The reasons I chose it were honestly about as superficial as it gets: - I preferred a color other than black (was originally drawn to the blue, but ended up with opaline/white) Both the Rolex Explorer and the Omega Aqua Terra are chronometer-certified, meaning they exhibit exceptional accuracy (+/-2 seconds per day for Rolex, +/-4 seconds per day for Omega). In real-world use, the difference is negligible. I find the Omega much more elegant and beautiful and I personally would go Aqua Terra (and voted this). Yet, if you want to wear a better storage of value on your wrist and to have the most recognizable luxury watch brand to show-off - then go with the Rolex. The first alternative to the Rolex Explorer is the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M. Rolex and Omega have been fierce competitors for decades, so it’s always easy to pick a watch from the Biel-based brand.
