Christian Dior's Leather Oud is a great and beautiful parfum. The leather, musk, civet, and patchouli make this a rich sensual/sexual scent. The beeswax, honey, and labdanum attempt to tame this parfum, but it doesn't really work. The animal is out of the cage and isn't going back in.

If you google "Leather Oud by Christian Dior 7.5ml/0.25oz Splash Mini" you will see what it looks like. I assumed its the same as Leather Oud Prive. Is that different? I think it was discontinued about 3 years ago. Does it take longer to Macerate? Maybe if it gets heated up a little? Or frozen? Glad it was only a small sample. With the dry, tangy undertone of Atlas cedarwood as the eye of its storm, Leather Oud whips up a scorching shockwave of cloves, honey and parched leather to create a trail of heat so palpable, it almost literally leaves you gasping for air the first time you smell it.

Oud Ispahan was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is François Demachy. Top note is Labdanum; middle notes are Rose, Patchouli and Saffron; base . I recently purchased a 5ml sample of Leather Oud and it smells great! My problems with it seems to be longevity and projection. I'm going to give it a few.
