This professional grade tool removes spring bars without having to take the watch bracelet clasp off. Features a specially shaped stainless steel handle which aligns the tips and evenly compresses the spring bar for simple removal without slipping or scratching the case. Regarding springbar tweezers, I would get the Horofix from Esslinger over the Bergeon. They're less money, they include extra tips and they are very high quality. Most of the higher-end watches have very tight clearance in the endlinks to case, so the spring bar tool will not work without scratching, only the tweezers (unless you’re an octopus). The tweezers have the advantage of being easier to work with when the bracelet isn't separated, i.e. when they're not lying flat on either ends of the watch, since the mid-section allows for greater clearance over the bracelet links. I got the Horofix Straight Spring Bar tweezers recently and they actually work really well. It is SO much easier to use these versus the traditional spring bar tool. Horofix is pretty smart IMO. Their product is slightly cheaper than Bergeon .
